Last year, (2022) while we were away at the beach, our neighbor fixed his side of the fence.
He fixed it, using scraps of fence from people in our neighborhood.
He cannot see this part of his fence as it is hidden by his pool pump and
it looks awful from our dining room window.
(no wonder he did it while we were away)
So, this year, Larry and I planted sunflowers along the ugly fence.
There must be about 30 sunflowers in view from
our dining room window now.
It is the sweetest thing and we are enjoying it very much.

Photo: The Sunflower Garden |
When I went out this morning, there were so many bees gathering pollen at the sunflowers and they were happy.
I think that next spring, we are going to double the size of the Sunflower garden....
The absence of the old tree (200 year old tree) is a shock every day as I go outside to the garden. Larry is fixing up the edging and we have plans for the area that will come about next spring.
Next spring seems so far away, I wonder what will happen during the time between now and then?
Have a happy weekend.
Love you beyond the moon.
