Keeping My Brain In Check

Photo: View from yoga-February

It is a bleak Thursday in Dallas. The sky is a menacing gray and it almost shouts "Danger".....the streets are quiet and I will leave my phone on the charger because the storms are coming soon. I use my yoga breathing to help stay calm having learned this during cancer treatments.

To keep my brain in check, I will keep busy by making dresses for a few events coming up. Todays project is a simple pattern but using extraordinary fabric. My rule of thumb is...the busier the fabric, the simpler the pattern or design. I have chosen a plain New Look pattern and have used this pattern for years. It is comfortable, classic and super easy to sew.

The pattern pieces are all cut out, now it is time to fuse the interfacing and getting out my sewing machine.

While writing and starting to sew, I am watching a live IG cooking expo with David Lebovitz and a guest chef. If you do not follow him, you might like his quirky personality and amazing skills. I like him very much. (he is an American living in Paris)

Please have a wonderful, safe day. If you are in the line of storms, plan your safe space early, charge your phone during the day and have all of your emergency numbers already in your phone. (Insurance, etc.)

Love you beyond the moon.
