Planning A Party

In 2002 Larry and I had been married  25 years. That year we took the girls to a far away beach in Nassau and had our marriage blessed by a local minister.

It was such a special day I will remember it always.

Our music was played, scripture was read, and a blessing was bestowed.(I do not believe in renewing vows. Especially if they worked so well the first time)

During the ceremony, our teenage daughters were getting antsy to put on their bathing suits and meet friends on the beach. I remember feeling that I wanted the day to last forever...

In a few years, we will be celebrating 50 years of marriage. I have a red note book and I am  starting to gather information for the celebration. Venue, cake flowers, music, guests, etc.

There is so much involved, I thought that I should start now, and that will help with planning the budget too.

I am excited to plan a big party, but when I think of it, I am worried that with every aspect, my little red note book will begin to look like the wedding planning book from the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

This will be a celebration of our life together, well lived and blessed...

Love you beyond the moon.

Me
