I DID Miss It

The Black Bass Inn at sunrise
Have you ever had an such a wonderful time
that you wanted time to stand still?

Larry took me away last weekend.
It was labeled as my birthday trip,
{my birthday is not till June}
We ran {note: I did not say flew} away
to one of my favorite places in the world.
The Black Bass Inn
For a few days we visited friends, had a photo shoot,
went to a cousin's birthday party,
enjoyed Bucks County Flea Markets,
ate some of my favorite food in the entire world,
respected elders who have passed on,
lounged in bed reading,
Larry was reading The Hunger Games while we were away

drove into wild, downtown Philadelphia, on a Saturday afternoon
and
just enjoyed being together.

Today, reality has slapped me in the face.
Laundry, Larry's work, Libby pouting because she misses Mitzu,
and
my work table is a clutter with projects begging to be finished or started.

On the flight home yesterday,
Larry asked me if I missed blogging while I was gone.
I said no quite fast, because at the time,
I was reading a book written by my favorite blogger in the world.
{Heaven Is Here by Stephanie Nielson}
But....
I did miss it. Even if my honesty gets me in trouble at times,
even if my writers block manifests itself in the way of a bad photograph and silly poem.
I do not drink coffee or smoke,
so I share moments of my life that have touched me.
Touched me in some profound, hurtful, happy, ignorant, blessed
or perfect way.
Perfect? Did I just say perfect?
Well, this past weekend was perfect.
It was filled with all things good.
Today's goal is to continue with all things good.....
It is my wish for you too.
Love you!
