Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more.

Dorothy was the consummate selfish girl. Wanting everything her heart desired, without accountability, or thoughts of others. (Well sort of . She did have the Lion, Tin man, and Scarecrow to oversee, but who were they REALLY?)
This week while resting and recovering, I was observant and reflective. How on earth did our generation become overrun with such thoughtless, self serving people? And how can it be, if someone is truly a friend, how can they step out of your life in a snap of the fingers?
Larry had a struggle this week at work. Can you imagine, trying to get salesmen to SELL? Well, the salesmen, want to be handed accounts and try to maintain them, heaven sakes(!!!) not open anything new! No wonder they will be fired. Larry coined a quote this week...in a fit of anger. "Dead weight, is expensive freight"......... I think Larry's next few weeks are going to be stunningly difficult.
Friends. I have the best friends in the world. It is my personal belief that if you care about someone, and they care about you, they will be in your life, all of your life. Somehow, someway.
Life is so funny. You must live the life you chose, doing what makes your heart sing. Circle yourself with people who you love and who love you, and breathe through the difficult moments.
I still think that Dorothy was selfish. She wanted to be where the grass was greener, to the exclusion of friends and family. When she arrived at the greener grass, she wanted her old life back, with the exclusion of her new friends and family.
This week after surgery, Larry's business plan changing by leaps and bounds and the anniversary of my Mother's birthday.......it was a fun, observing week. I guess next week, I better get busy.........no more observing!
Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more.
Love you.
Me
