Cheer Up Monday With Homemade Danish

SWEET DANISH
(A favorite of Larry's)
~Ingredients~
1 package (8oz) Philadelphia Cream Cheese (softened)
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
2 cans crescent rolls
OR
2 cans Pillsbury crescent recipe creations dough
Smuckers Jam
***
~GLAZE~
2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-3 Tablespoons milk
~Directions~
Heat oven to 350. In a small bowl beat cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice,until smooth.
If using crescent dough, separate dough into 8 rectangles. Seal perforations.
If using dough sheet, cut into 8 rectangles.
Spread each rectangle with 1 heaping Tablespoon of cream cheese mixture.
Starting at long side, roll gently roll.
Gently stretch to about 10 inches.
Coil 10 in tube into a spiral with seam on the inside.

Make deep indention in center of each roll. ( I used a floured shot glass) Fill indention with jam. ( I used strawberry) Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or till golden brown. **** In small bowl, mix glaze ingredients, adding enough milk for desired drizzling consistency. **** Drizzle over warm rolls. ~~~~~~~ This was dessert last evening.
