THE SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES

If I could,

I would write a poem about SNICKERDOODLES.

They are my all time favorite cookie.

With a name tickles your heart,

sugar and cinnamon blend in your mouth

and you cannot help smiling.

For the past few weeks, I would whisper

(much like when I whisper that I would love a cigarette)

I whispered that I wish that I had a snickerdoodle.

And then....guess what happened?

Yesterday, Lauren presented me with

a dozen cookies.

Coincidence you say?

Perhaps....

but when you are enjoying a snickerdoodle...

all is right with the world.
