PLEASURES

It is Friday.

Friday, February 20th, in the year of our Lord 2009.

I just pushed Larry out the door, to meetings in Temple,Texas.

Do you think that he will be home in time for a meatloaf dinner tonight?

He went equipped with two Cokes, and a Ziploc filled with orange slices.

Not the good for you orange slices.

But

The bad ones, covered with sugar.

Today

I feel homesick ....

I think that it is homesickness...

but isn't homesickness a basic longing for something that

your heart misses?

My heart has a long list of things that it misses,

(all good things, I promise)

But Usually, I can tell what I am feeling.

Larry booked the weekend...

Please don't tell him, but I suspect that he chose THAT weekend

because it is the first weekend of March Madness...

and we will be with huge basketball fans.

Long walks on the Strand....

Afternoons on the porch. Leaving the "madness", taking my camera on adventures in Garden City. Traditional South Carolina cuisine. Bear hugs from people I love. Breakfast on the terrace. Watching the sun set while sitting at the bay window. The wildlife that lives in the Inlet. Just being. The airplane trip to South Carolina! ( i am always so anxious to get there, and hate to return home) Besides, That Myrtle Beach Airport is so funny! (but they have a great soft pretzel kiosk) *** I am washing linens.... Imagine getting into bed tonight and smelling that fresh, wonderful ,clean, smell. ahhhhhh Favorite pleasures. Enjoy your pleasures... Love you, Me ********************************************
