Plane Flaps~ A Trip From Honolulu To Dallas

......it is after 2 am in LA. Our flight has turned around (we were far east of LA at the time of announcement)), something is wrong with the flaps. We landed in LA with fire-engines racing next to the plane. I was in 24 A...a seat just over the wing...the Capt said we should know something in 15 min. 30 min later. The Captain just told us that they have taken the "boxes" whatever that means....and are studying what is wrong with the plane. wow. 2 hours later. The captain said to put all electronics away. we shall be leaving LA in a moment. What an exciting finish to a perfect holiday! See you in Dallas! love you, me ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ it is 10:30 am Dallas time. Upon returning to Dallas (after 2 hours of no problems) we exited the plane in search of our bags. Baggage claim in this international terminal is close, and when we arrived there...reporters and TV cameras were there to greet us. I am thinking that perhaps this problem was worse than I thought. But we are home safe and sound. I miss being in our little cottage on Kaua'i...but alas, dirty laundry waits, and Libby will be home soon. Life is wonderful. Love you lots. Me
