Today!

Last evening it rained.

The kind of rain that is loud enough for you to sigh,

But not

a loud and threatening storm.

Today I shall go to the salon and have my hair cut and styled.

This is a standing appointment every 7 weeks.

The funny thing is, until two years ago,

I had my hair cut yearly, not really taking care of it.

I look forward to someone taking care of my hair...

It is much like getting a massage.

This morning, I have a phone date.

Visiting with an old friend who I have met only once,

a friend who shares his wit and humor openly.

My friend is an older gentleman.

Bright, savvy, amusing, and kind.

My friend has lost his sight.

Often we visited online, using the speaker program

but sometimes things change.

Dave has taught me many things...

but most of all, how to gracious in the face of

difficult situations.
