The Impressionist Garden

We are in the middle of an amazing summer....I have found Monet in my garden. Picasso is seen in the face of my sunflowers and Matisse's creative spirit in the pattern of grasses on the lawn.
Each day I fill the bird bath with fresh water. Birds, dragonflies and after sunset, raccoons enjoy the cool bounty of H2O. Humming birds have started visiting the feeders each day. It seems early this year. The bulk of hummingbird visitors usually come in August. Perhaps the heat has disrupted more than we imagine?
Today I woke thinking about how much I take for granted. Creature comforts once removed, we realize exactly what we have and how we have come to depend on it. During the day today, I hope to make a mental note of what is in my life, that I use on a daily basis, but do not even acknowledge. Cool water, going to the pantry when I need a snack. A working bathroom. The bed made with clean soft sheets......
Looking out at my garden today, it is a painting. Impressionist brush strokes filling the scene, making it one of appreciation and happy moments. Who painted your world?
Have a happy day.
Love you.
