About 26 years ago a good friend gave me

a pattern for THE baby owl sweater.

I make it often ,for dear family

who expect additions.

Last year we went to a cousin's wedding.

This year they are expecting a wee babe.

( as my friends in New Zealand call them)

This is one of my favorite sweaters to knit.

It is fast and fun.

Note the cables....I shall sew tiny buttons for the owl eyes

when I am finished knitting. Jenny I do not mind if you see this before I box it up.

Expectations usually are a disappointment...

but in the case of knitted sweaters...

Expectations are a joy!
