Almost Summer

....it is the middle of May. Summer looms ahead of us like a special treat after a long, difficult day. Often I daydream of summer holiday. Morning walks on the beach, the arboretum on the North Shore, orchid leis, flip flops, picnics on mountain tops, flying my kite on the secret beach, kaula pork, hula dancers, jazz in a tiny restaurant in Hanalei, rainbows, our "holiday" church, and banana shave ice. So many things touch me, and stay with me throughout the year. Our friends on island and locals, who live there that make Aloha spirit reality. I will miss the North Shore Quilt show, but will be there in August.....I am counting the days.... Love you. Me
