Waiting

Waiting. Libby and I are waiting for the plumber.
It is cold outside for April. 40 (degrees)-something and it is the last week of April. Last night I brought in tender herbs and ferns that I had bought for the patio, and here they sit, surrounding me in the studio as I wait for the man who is plumber.
The plumber has a list of 3-4 projects in the house, including my favorite, installing a new kitchen faucet. Unlike my typical long drawn out decisions, I went to Home Depot, and stood looking at 80 or 90 kitchen faucets hanging on the wall. I thought, oh merde, this will take me weeks. There were 5 other people shopping for kitchen faucets. They were pushy, indecisive, one smelled very bad, and there was one who was on the phone telling his wife abut each faucet so she could decide, where ever she was, on their next focal point of water, kitchen wise that is.
After making note of my Home Depot fellow shoppers, I picked out three faucets That were ok and from the three, I chose one. ( I will post a photo after Mr Plumber is finished) We have lived in this house since 1985. I remember having to replace the very faucet that will be replaced today. Larry and I had almost no money, and settled on the cheapest one the ACE hardware store had. I believe it was $9.95. That was in 1986.
Larry is already at work, The day is lovely and cold. (it feels like a French morning) Tonight We will have dinner with a business associate of Larry's. I am in the studio, on my laptop, and will finish 4 sketches after I send this blog into the void...Have a happy day, if you find yourself waiting for anyone, remember to breathe, and smile. The moment around you, right this second is perfection.....Love you, Me
