A Family Moment

I was going through old pictures on my laptop yesterday. There are hundreds of folders filled with family, travel, pet and food pictures. Hundreds. I love them all and soon I must update, before my computer dies.

This family portrait was saved from the recycle bin....

Photo: The first time that we met Jared- 2012
Family from left: Jared, Jamison, Lauren, Josh, Matilda, Robin & Larry

The photo was taken the first time we met Jared, Jamison's now husband and our son in law. We had lunch at India Palace restaurant in Dallas.  It was Saturday, February 11. 2012. (YES! Larry looked the date up in his journal for me)

I have no idea how this picture came to be. By the hostess? The manager? Look how little Matilda was!   Was it before lunch or after?

Eleven years have sped by...How wonderful is that?

Posting this photo is one of the reasons I blog. When I am gone, there will be memories and photos posted of special moments.

Love you beyond the moon.

Pearls
I believe
the nicest and sweetest days
are not those on which anything
very splendid
or wonderful or exciting happens,
but just those that bring simple pleasures,
following one another softly.
Like pearls on a string.
~~~
The song, on my playlist,
FOR GOOD
is my mantra....
look around you!
"I am who I am today, because I knew you.
Thank you for being you.
***
Happy Monday.
I send crushing hugs,
and smiles.
Love you beyond the moon.
In The Pages Of Books
"Happiness held is the seed;
Happiness shared is the flower"
*****************
This photograph was taken just moments ago. The morning is so beautiful, it takes my breath away. I wore a sundress and flip flops into the garden. The dew clung to my toes as I shot a dozen macros. The quote above was on a yellow sheet of paper, in an old book. I must have heard it ages ago, wrote it down and then hid it. Have you ever seen the movie STEALING BEAUTY ? Two of the characters write quotes and hide them in books. Any books. I love that movie. Today is perfection. The entire day is mine... and if I waste a moment of it, tonight I shall be sad. May your today be filled with moments of shared joy. Love you beyond the moon. (did you see the moon last night?) Love you, me
J'habite pres du lac!
I live close to the lake!
***
I shall walk/jog to the lake
and
then back home.
The route is 4 miles.
Time. One hour.
It is time for me to leave.
It is cold.
28 degrees.
But imagine
how warm the house will be
when I return.
Timeless....
I wish you a day filled with timeless moments..
Love you.
Me
PS:
I am home now.
Listened to Van Morrison for one hour
on my IPOD.
My cheeks burn in the warmth of the house,
as my body adjusts to the change of temperature.
It is a busy day, so much to do.
Wish I were timeless.
