Awhile ago, we had the 200 year old pecan tree
in our front yard, taken down.

When the men were taking the tree down, Larry asked if they could cut three rounds from the huge trunk.
They cut three rounds... one for each of our daughters
and one for us.
The rounds have been drying in our back garden and yesterday daughter Lauren came to get her pecan tree round. Larry rolled it to the front of the house and weighed it.
It weighed 157 pounds. (it weighed so much more before it was dried)
I loved that old tree and miss him. (Please read the story about him)
