Unexpected Mail

Last year when we had to replace our mailbox,
I wanted a really BIG mailbox.
Larry said, do we really need one that big?
Of course we do!
Real mail is still wonderful and unexpected.

This week I received mail.
Mail with a treasure inside.

There was this wonderful card from my cousin
with
a personal note to me.
The note explained
that the charm bracelet had been
given to her by a family member.
The silver disks are engraved with
my cousins Lonny & Steven's name and birthday,
and
my older sister Judi's and my name with birthdays.
This was my Grandmothers bracelet.
Shared with me in the most unexpected way.
I was tearful.
As I rolled the bracelet in my hand,
my grandmother wearing it is all I could think of.
She always wore a watch on her left wrist and often a bracelet with it.
Thank you Amber.

Your gift means so much to me.
Special moments are always with me,
tucked away in my heart.
Love you
Me
