My service organization, is presenting a portrait
of
George Washington
to a local elementary school.
This is an important dedication
for
the school and the group I belong to.
I have decided not to attend.
My younger sister, whom I am estranged from,
works at the elementary school involved.
I would love being part of this fun event,
and
I would not mind seeing my sister again.
It is all the (forgive my French) merde
that comes after the event
that I will avoid.

People might share your blood,
but that only makes them family in name-sake.
Being family is like friendship,
you must earn the title.
Larry, Lauren & Josh, Jamison and I
are closer than ever thanks to
the events of the past.
There is always goodness
somewhere within
an unfortunate situation.
Love you.

Family quarrels are bitter things. They don't go by any rules. They're not like aches or wounds; they're more like splits in the skin that won't heal because there's not enough material. ~F. Scott Fitzgerald
