Knit One Purl One

I was dressed in exercise clothes, but the Terminix man came. His name is Rodney and he is the BEST! (he has been our "bug guy" for many years) Libby does not like Rodney as I do. She barks and gets quite unhappy while he is here. I decided to forgo my walk today.

Sooo, I worked on this Christmas gift. It is going to be a scarf. The pattern is a nightmare. That is why I chose it. Reaching for something that is a bit more difficult gives me a feeling of accomplishment. (easy things turn into such a chore) Stay tuned, I will post more photos when the scarf becomes beautiful. (do you think that will ever happen?)

While a person knits, they get to ponder many things. Todays subject is selfish idiots. I read a friends blog this morning, where she (my friend was in a plane accident and suffered very bad burns) shares that at the grocery store, a woman approached her and said:

***"Oh I just don't know how you do it!
If I looked like you, I'd hide in my bed everyday.
But, look at you! You did your hair and everything today!"

What on earth is wrong with people? I have had a few things happen in my life, where people have chosen to treat me one way and then expect me to just smile and not hold them accountable.

Stephanie and I agree, we are not mad or hate these people. But do not have time in our lives for people who act like that. We want them to go on with their happy little lives, without us.

We chose how we want to live our lives. When we make these decisions, they better be great, because they are for us only. And, when you are sitting very still one day. Knitting or at an easel working on a painting, you will have time to think. Pleasent things, planning happy days, love you share for the ones around you, gifts you give from the heart and how wonderful life is.

The house is bug free for another 3 months, I have started Christmas gifts, and had my daily "ponder"........Love you. Me
