Come On Summer!

It feels like summer already.

Hot Texas days remind me of

Poco and picnics.

Getting a new roof has spurred on

a few more home improvements.

The deck, off of the dining room,

 is twenty years old.

In the past two weeks it has had a makeover.

The color of stain was tricky on such old wood.

I found the tabletop sold separately from the base.

(both at the same store thank goodness)

It took the store twenty four hours to attach

the two pieces.

Finding the chairs was easy.

Getting them home was the hard part.

A man named Ben helped load them in my car,

The legs hung out of the windows,

but I was not far from home, so it was fine.

I had had my eye on the planters for months now.

Made of lightweight resin and are perfect for the deck.

Inside the planters I planted  Bubba Desert Willow
