All the principles were ready.
It was time to decant the port.
Funnel, cheesecloth decanter.
The time had come.
Excitement permeated the room.
Vinegar or wine?
The first aromas would tell the story,
and I smiled.
As the bottled emptied,
I realized that tonight I would finally
taste the port.
It "opened up" all day
and when finally served,
turned out to be the most amazing
port I have ever had.
Any Port in a Storm.
