The Surprise

It is Friday!

I am dressed for a long walk, i-pod ready

but,

I wanted to share something with you.

It was a surprise that was delivered to me last week.

"THE SURPRISE"

The snow was getting ready to start.

The day was cloudy, but if you look closely,

you will see an 18 wheeler truck.

(the truck was parked about a block from the cottage)

The delivery man lowered a box out of the truck

and wheeled it down the street!

For me!

The delivery man knew that it was special cargo. After I signed a few papers, the delivery man put the box inside of the cottage, in the entry. Garfield the Gnome stood guard. I unpacked the box, layer by Layer. Then I stood my gift up..... a desk. Here is the desk, in its new home. My surrogate Father, Bruce, sent me the desk. He made this desk from scratch, and it is the most thoughtful, gift in the world. *** When I decided to post these photos, I had an idea of explaining how Bruce became such an important part of my life. But for now.... the story of the surprise desk is enough. My heart skips a beat, knowing that "out there" there are people who love and are loved for reasons of kindness and heart. I love you Bruce. I shall treasure the desk forever. Merci. Love you always. Robi
