Congratulations, it is a BOOK GROUP!

I was not there at conception.

I was not there during that tenuous gestation period.

BUT

I was there last night at the birth of THE BOOK GROUP.

Cookies, fruit, tea and the room was empty.

Soon enough, excited voices could be heard.

The room slowly filled.

Introductions were made and the format explained.

Kristin & Lisa had done a perfect job.

They are the Book Group Moms.

Last evening,

besides sharing a beloved book,

they started a new family.

The kind of family, that only BOOK GROUP can bring together.

Different people come together

with different views,different ideas of friendship

and a love for books.

THE HELP

is the perfect "first" book for a book group.

The story and characters are charming

and well defined.

What THE HELP does,

is stir up many memories, of family, faith, racism,

culture, friendship and most importantly,

love.

Last evening, I watched the women of BOOK GROUP,

share memories.

How wonderful and amazing!

Strangers sharing from the heart.
