Traditions

Early this afternoon,

after Christmas (morning) eve traditions,

I made my favorite hot chocolate.

We sat and looked at the tree

with its lights aglow.

It is snowing. (in Texas!)

Tonight Larry and I will be alone.

Fingers crossed,

the streets will be clear enough to go to church for 8:00 service.

HOT CHOCOLATE

(robin's favorite)

Serving 4/cups

8 Tablespoons sugar

12 teaspoons cocoa (I use Scharffen Berger )

Dash of salt

4 cups of milk (I use 2%)

1 teaspoon vanilla

* mix, sugar, cocoa and salt in saucepan.

Whisk in milk.

Cook over medium heat.

Bring to almost boil.

Take off of heat and stir in vanilla.

Serve with whipped cream.

Enjoy with holiday cookies.
