Auld Lang Syne

It is the Monday after Christmas.

The content feeling of living this moment

fills my heart.

I would rather be content, than bubbly happy.

Bubbly happy is fleeting,

contentment lasts forever.

The house should be getting ready

for another party on Friday.

But along with contentment,

I am lazy!

Truthfully,

Today I feel better than I have in 3 weeks.

The flu must be gone.

I am happy, have almost no cough,

and look forward to

another holiday week.
