“I had some eyeglasses. I was walking down the street when suddenly the prescription ran out.” ~Stephen Wright~

Today is the day I have been dreading. After wearing glasses since I was 13 years old, and then, 15 years ago, started using one contact in my left eye, a term called Mono-vision and now today. One more benchmark in the history of my eyes. Bifocals.

My ART has suffered. Working on any project after dusk is almost impossible, I have bought the package of three "reading" glasses from Costco, and finally, hand sewing is almost non-existent.

30 minutes. My appointment is in 30 minutes. I should put this entire issue into perspective. I should have had the bifocal appointment 5 years ago but resisted because I was vain. Perhaps now I will have the ability to paint in the cafe (live) again. Reading on nighttime flights will not make me ill, and best of all. I will be able to see 100% of the time. Off I go. Off into the world of endless frames, graduating lenses, glass cases, sunglasses and glaucoma tests........if I am not back in 2 hours, call 911. Love you, Me
