What a lovely day!
Yes. It is my birthday.
I adore birthdays.
Not just mine, but every ones special day.
and
I remember almost every ones birthday.
Larry's smiles and says,
how on earth do you remember THEIR birthdays?
Joshua, made goulash
and
he and Lars made sure that it was waiting
in the fridge when we came home from our trip on Monday.
The wine they sent was PERFECT.
Thank you, Lars & Joshua.
This is THE birthday pin.
I shall wear it all day. (it blinks)
It was here at the house when
we returned home on Monday.
Last Saturday,
Larry gave me the
TATE MODERN for my birthday.
We had breakfast there and then rambled
through ART that
inspired,
questioned,
made you smile
and
frown.
Just as all modern ART should.
At 3:00 pm
(London time)
We had tea at Kensington Palace.
I had champagne with my tea, ( 2 glasses)
because it was my birthday!
Tradition
On a birthday, you get flamingos.
Above is Larry's offering this year.
This morning, we went into the garden and
put the flamingo together.
He is spinning on this stormy day.
I love the Whirling Flamingo!
My best friend in the world,
knows me well.
She sends gifts that tug my heart.
When I opened the box she sent,
this lovely plaque was placed in bubble wrap
and tissue..( and the cutest striped bag)
When I read it,
the words made me cry.
Thank you, Dear Lara.
I shall dance "The Gypsy Dance" tonight.
And as I celebrate my day,
toasting my Mother, Larry, my Children,
and the best friends that anyone could ever dream of.
Pinch me.
Thank you all for sharing this wonderful life with me...
I Love you beyond the moon.
Me. **************************************************
