Pre-Halloween Festivities

 Yesterday, Larry and I had the honor 

of being judges at the 

Chuck E Cheese Corp.

Chili Cook Off and Costume Contest.

It was the most amazing day!

All of the chilis were very good

and there were even "sweets" to judge.

The costume contest was  my favorite.

Everyone was so imaginative, 

it almost took my  breath away.

I know that we were judges,

but everyone was a winner.

It was a wonderful day.

(and I got to spend it with Chuck E Cheese)

 Yesterday I wrapped my first Christmas gift.

It is for Larry and I ordered it from:

Bug Under Glass

Kevin, the owner is wonderful

and takes care of each order in a very special way.

So, I have started Christmas.

(I am not sure how I feel about that)

If It Looks To Good To Be True

 I was at Half-Price Bookstore last Sunday.

There was a 20 year old knitting instruction

book on the shelf and I fell in love with it.

In the book were the instructions for a hat. 

A charming hat! Perfect!

 Just what I was looking for!

I bought yarn and started knitting right away.

I knitted all week because I wanted the hat

for a certain occasion.

Yesterday, I finished the hat.

It is the worst thing that I have ever knitted.

It makes me look like a cartoon character

and I would never wear it.

Lesson for today.

If it looks to good to be true,

it probably is.

The Life Puzzle

 I have come to the conclusion 

that life is a giant puzzle.

Each day is a piece of that puzzle 

and it fits into a complete puzzle.

If one piece goes in the wrong way,

your entire puzzle is off kilter.

I have been quite bad at fitting 

the pieces into my puzzle lately.

Nothing is helping, 

so I am just riding out this "wonky" time.

It is BEAUTIFUL here this morning.

It is sunny and 63 degrees.

If I had a puppy, 

I would take it for a long walk this morning.

The Ice Cubes

 It is a beautiful morning this morning.

Birds are singing at the feeders 

in the back garden

and

Larry is in the kitchen making

ice cubes for the week.

He makes the ice cubes out of custom 

ice cube trays/molds 

that are 2" round and fit into my Yedi.

Who knew ice cubes

could be so special?
