The Memory

 It was a beautiful day yesterday,

70 degrees and sunny!

And it was a perfect day for a 

picnic at the Dallas Arboretum.

We enjoyed the Champagne 

that Larry gave me for my birthday

with

fruit and veggies.

It is the kind of day that makes 

me sigh at the memory.

Today, I am dressed and ready for the Komen North Texas Race For The Cure. Thank you to everyone who donated to Team Believe. We raised $2,586.94. Please get your annual screenings.

A Grounding Of Sorts

 I made dinner last night, 

we sat at the dining room table and talked.

It was a warm Texas day 

and our menu was comfort food.

There is something special about 

spending such time with my Larry.

A grounding of sorts that 

nothing else in my life can manage.

It turned cold this morning

and is 64 degrees. 

I have errands to do ,

and tickets for a movie this afternoon.

Dinner tonight ....

meatloaf sandwiches!

UIL Competition

Yesterday I had the privilege of going to a

 UIL (University Interscholastic League)

 competition for North Texas high schools.

 It was a marching band competition.

It was the most amazing experience.

The energy the kids had was contagious

and I loved every moment.

Our grand-son plays the bass drum 

in the Gunter High School Band...

and they were fabulous and 

scored very well.

This generation coming along makes me proud.

So proud.

Staying Focused

 Autumn flowers are on the table

and they make me happy when I

see them. Today (October 14, 2026)

 is expected to be 

a heat index of 100 degrees.

That's crazy!

Everything is crazy right now.

The world is going through something

huge and it makes a 

100 degree October 

day look like nothing.

I am staying focused with a smile,

even if I have to fake it.
