The new orchid sits as the honored guest in my dusty house.
Each time I pass, its beauty suggests that I stop
and
salute the joy it brings.

It is October.
Everyone I know is saying,
"Its October!"
Is that because the summer is over?
The weather will soon cool?
All I know is that I am sitting in a dark studio.
So dark that I cannot paint and storms are coming.
I cannot exercise at the lake, because it is so wet....
Larry is in Dallas for meetings, I am grumpy.
Where is that orchid?
Now I know why we need flowers in the house.
Bring on the joy!
