A Pinch For Good Luck

Yesterday, Jamison and Jared invited us
to visit their wedding venue.
She and Jared wanted to show us the locations of
the ceremony and reception.
We sat on camp chairs, around a picnic
of pizza, salad, sugar cookies and Champagne.

The gardens were quiet.
Chairs were lined up in evidence of a ceremony
earlier in the day
and
the sun shown through the trees,
making a mosaic of sparkles on the ground.

As I watched as they walked down the aisle,
I wondered what amazing things are in their future.

Jami came back holding a small flower,
probably from the earlier ceremony.
It is a wonderful blessing for them.
The future is theirs.

This had to have been one of the best
picnics we have ever been on.

Do you know...
For good luck,
Egyptian women pinch the bride on her wedding day.
 Love you,
Me
