Quilts and Homemade Bread

The Plano Cottage is snowed in.
Today is day two of freezing temps
and
3 inches of ice.
We are blessed to have power and lots of quilts.

Yesterday Larry worked from home.
He could not get out of our driveway, so he fielded things from here.
The most important conference call came at 8:30,
announcing the new president of PFG/Roma Dallas.
Welcome Mr Larry Bridges.
My Larry is thrilled.
Larry Bridges has an amazing reputation and experience.
Earlier in the this process, my Larry was asked to apply for the position.
After much thought, he removed his name from consideration.
{He removed his name long before we went to France and it made our holiday so much better.Thank you Steve Broad for your understanding. Love you.}
Happy Days are here again!

Last night we had sandwiches: turkey on home made jalapeno cheese bread,
chicken veggie soup and a great wine.
It was cuddly and perfect.

Libby hates the cold. Lauren gave this sweater to Libby,
I thought that she liked it but look at that stink eye.

While Libby was eating and then outside,
I brought the bird feeders inside.
They are frozen and we cannot put the food in.
Now that they are thawing, I can fill them later today.

We are warm and cozy in the house
but
when I look outside I get a cold, bitter feeling.

I was getting ready to post here,
but Libby is still angry at me for something.
Wonder what this stink eye is about?

Tomorrow is Larry's birthday.
We have reservations
to celebrate as a family tomorrow afternoon,
and
I doubt that is going to happen.
BUT!
I have his gift ready, in case it is just him and me tomorrow.
{ his gift has a poka dot bow}

For now, I will say bye bye.
I have planned a day filled with decorating the house
and
watching Christmas movies!

My thoughts and prayers today are with the
people who have no where to go in this extreme weather.
May they be blessed by the generosity of strangers with huge hearts.

Stay safe and warm, where ever you are.
I love you.
