The Post Office?

Libby woke us early this morning,
she is still on the schedule that she was on at Lauren's house.
I made a cup of tea and came back to bed to watch the news.
Larry is taking care of a problem with our Visa Card.
While we were on holiday, Visa shut down our card
and
Larry just found out why.
Someone in Italy was buying appliances with our card.
Merde.
Our new card is in the mail and we have been trying to figure out how the card was compromised.
Then we figured it out.
Before we left to France, we mailed all of our
out of town Christmas gifts.
During the process, we also used the small kiosk in the lobby of the Post office.
Yes, yes, the kiosk has a card reader on the side.
The post office lobby is open 24 hours a day also.
Anyone could attach a new slide card reader onto the side of that machine.
We are 99% sure that is where our card number was stolen.
No one has ever warned us about the post office before, but that was the only place we used the card  before going away.
The $1,189.00 has been taken off of our bill....
wonder what the Italians bought? (the Visa people said appliances)
Hey! I want a new fridge too!
***
Just wanted to share this with you while I am drinking my tea.
Be safe this holiday.
It is a season of kindness and joy
but
that does not mean you have to buy gifts for Italians.

Larry is back at work after the best holiday ever.
Did I mention he is the happiest that he has ever been?
Happy days are here again!
Love you.
