Mothers Day in Retrospect and Current Events

On Saturday Larry and I spent the day at Scarborough Faire.
It is a Renaissance Festival about one hour South from Plano.
It is an annual trip, at Mothers day.
Lauren & Jamison always loved it and it was a celebration.
Now the Girls are busy, Larry and I go alone. {and still love it}
This year I had my Tarot cards read.
Larry said, lets see what she says ...and it was interesting.
I shuffled and cut the cards.
The reader, a kind woman who looked like an old gypsy,
asked my birthday and pulled out the card for the AIR sign.
Setting the air card down, she dealt out my cards
in the traditional form.
Then the reading started.
The first thing she said, was that I am highly creative.
Then came the BUT.
She said my creativity was interrupted this year,
but the cards showed that later in the year, I will be successful!
The deal, also showed a worry card....that was no surprise.
I have been painting again...looks like she was right about a few things!
After a big Mothers Day  lunch yesterday, Larry and I walked,
played a game of Gin and had cheese and pate for dinner.
Today I am finishing a painting and sewing.
I refuse to pay $125.00 for maxi dresses when I can make one for $30.00.
This is my new fabric and my favorite pattern.
{it is happy fabric}
*****
Libby ate all of her dinner without any coaxing,
The sun is shining into my workroom
and
I owe about 12 emails
5 loads of laundry need attention
but I want to be playing in the garden and maybe reading.
Hummmmm.
I hope I don't owe you email,
it might be awhile before I get to it!

I am listening to the soundtrack from the THORN BIRDS.
I always say, if my life had a soundtrack, it would be this one.
{I love the book also!}
The music is by Henry Mancini and of course Larry laughs.
What would the sound track to your life be?
Thank you for reading my words.
have a perfect day!
Love you.

Yes, Robin, I read your words sometimes. I love your English which is simple and beautiful. I love how you enjoy small and simple things in your life. My name is Jola. I live in Warsaw in Poland. It's a bit complicated but I know you from Flickr thanks to my first American on-line friends: Kevin and Ken.
Please keep on writing your blog. It's beautiful!
